Na EVE Online Developer blogu pojavili su se novi detalji oko nadolazeće ekspanzije "Apocrypha" za ovu igru, koja izlazi 10. marta. Otkriveni su Wormholes i nova istraživanja, nova NPC rasa i dorađeni AI, a detalje pogledajte ovde. Nakon izlaska ekspanzije, igra će biti prodavana i na disku koga će izdati Atari.

Dalje, na ovom mestu će moći da se pogledaju 32 najbolje borbe alijansi za titulu PVP šampiona. U subotu će se od 15 sati po Griniču prikazati "R.U.R." alijansa koja je trenutno na prvom mestu, od 19 sati Ev0ke, a od 19:40 rimeč od prošlog vikenda između "Against ALL Autothorities" i "HUN Reloaded". Pored mečeva, developeri će govoriti o nadolazećoj ekspanziji. Akcija se nastavlja tokom vikenda sa živim prenosima od 14:50 do 21:00 u subotu i 22:00 u nedelju. Raniji mečevi dostupni su na YouTube kanalu.

Drugi sastanak igračkog tela "Council of Stellar Management", sastavljenog radi komuniciranja sa developerima igre, održan je na Islandu a rezultati poslednjeg okupljanja mogu se videti ovde.

Poznati sajt o MMORPG-ovima, Massively, su napisali o svim PVP delovima ili fazama u EVE Online-u, od toga kakav je u piratskom pogledu, pa sve do sukoba velikih alijansi. Takođe su primetili da iako je EVE Online u suštini baziran na PVP-u, velika većina ljudi je izbegava. Koliko mi igrači možemo primetiti, to je zato što se lako izgubi ono što se mukom steklo u toku igranja.

One of the most perplexing things about EVE Online has to be the fact that although the game is essentially designed around PvP, a lot of players avoid it entirely. Reykjavik, Iceland, October 15, 2008 - Konačno su sve špekulacije okončane - stiže nova besplatna expanzija za EVE Online, najbolji space MMORPG koji je do sada napravljen.

U novoj expanziji najvaljene su mnoga poboljšanja, kao što su sistem sertifikata, u kome će igrači moći da planski razvijaju skill-ove za onu profesiju koja im treba. Onda je tu novi capital industrial brod, koji će se zvati ORCA. Tu je i implementiranje najnovijeg
StacklessIO sistema koji se već uveliko testira, i omogucava igranje ogromnih bitaka bez ikakvog laga. Ove i mnoge druge novitete ćemo objavljivati čim saznamo više detalja, koji za sada nisu otkriveni.

Players have great things to look forward to in EVE Online: Quantum Rise. Corporations will be able to set their products apart from the rest by building trust in their goods through customizable storefronts. The backbone of EVE's vibrant economy, industrial ships are being rebalanced and optimized to better suit the needs of haulers and industrialists-including the latest edition to the fleet, a massive capital industrial ship dubbed the Orca. A new certificate system will give a quick and verifiable means to discern a pilot's skill level in trading, gunnery or countless other professions, providing plenty of bragging rights. Meanwhile, the introduction of a medal system allows corporations to distinguish their most valued pilots and honor them for their achievements.

The staged delivery of EVE Online: Quantum Rise began with the recent implementation of technological breakthroughs such as StacklessIO and EVE64 which upgraded the server hardware and streamlined communication between server and client to severely reduce lag. The reality of thousands of ships simultaneously engaged in adrenaline-charged combat is at hand and several fleet battles have already been fought using this new technology. Emboldened by the significant effects these improvements bring to high-level gameplay, CCP will push forward with a myriad of hardware and server improvements to bring the most massive player vs player experience available, expanding a boundless universe into a limitless one.

Ne znam konkretno kako mi je ovo promaklo da vidim, ali nedavno je objavljen novi EVE Online video direktno iz same priče igre. Radi se o krunisanju novog Amarr imperatora, i to ŽENE, koja se zove Jamyl I. U videu se pokazuje svemoćna flota Amarr imperije, sa sve Titanima. Obavezno pogledati, i naježiti se.

MMORPG.com EVE Online reporter Anthony Thurston je napisao mali artikal o tome šta možemo očekivati od EVE Online-a u skorijoj budućnosti. Jedna od najzanimljivijih stvari koje se mogu primetiti je plan za dobijanje sertifikata u igri, pomoću koji možete aktivno planirati budućnost u igri, odnosno koje sve skill-ove možete da istrenirate ili naučite.

EVE Online has recently seen its newest expansion, Empyrean Age, updated with the 1.1 patch. CCP, developers of EVE Online, have labeled it the "Power to the people" patch. This is due to the fact that almost all of the fixes and tweaks that were added in the 1.1 patch were based on player suggestions. The 1.1 patch notes are practically a novel, with hundreds of user interface tweaks, bug fixes and little things that players suggested CCP take a look at. Not surprisingly, there was little content added in the 1.1 patch, though the content that was added is way over due. Over seventy new rookie missions, as well as a hundred normal missions were added to the game. To anyone who plays EVE, this is a big deal; for example, while playing a few nights back I did the "Save the Damsel" mission eight times... in a three hour period. Needless to say, more missions for EVE is a welcome change in my book....

EVE Online je ove godine slavio petu godišnjicu postojanja igre, i u toku njene poprilično duge istorije doslo je do velikog razvitka u samoj menahici igre, menjanju interfejsa, pa sve do menjanja celokupnog grafičkog endžina. Kako se igra razvijala, kako je pravljena, koji su patchevi dodavani i expanzije, kao i buduće planove za igru možete pročitati u ovom tekstu.

EVE Online's development path from concept to release has followed a very different path to the MMO norm. Starting from its humble beginnings as one man's dream to build an online space game, EVE has developed into the massively popular game it is today. Rather than designing and developing the game all in one go, the CCP crew opted for a staged delivery approach. The game was re-made 11 times, each stage being progressively closer to the final goal. By launch, EVE had been through 5 total recodes where almost the entire game was scrapped and rebuilt from scratch and at least 6 partial recodes...

Izašao je novi EVE Online Chronicle, ovog puta o izdaji pozantog Gallente izdajnika Anvent Eturrera. Mala grupa plaćenika je upala u neprijateljsku Caldari imperiju, u potrazi za grand admiralom Federation Navy-a, pre nego što se dublje sakrije u Caldari podzemlje.

Day Seven

In the cold, hyperlit metal corridor, the two women faced one another at firing distance. Jeanelle, who'd brought them here, slowly lowered her hands to her hips, resting them on the handles of her guns. Skids, who'd kept them alive, kept her hands crossed behind her head, as if she planned to take a nap. She looked entirely unconcerned.

In one swift and silent motion, Jeanelle drew her guns, aimed at Skids and fired.

The deafening noise echoed through the corridor. In the aftermath of the muzzle flash, Skids stood with hands on her hips, an astonished expression on her face. She looked down at her body, in search of the vermillion stain, but before she could find one her eyes rolled back in her head, and she dropped to the floor.

Već par dana nikakvih zanimljivih vesti, i onda kao grom iz vedra neba padne jedna vrlo interesantna i povrh svega dobra vest. Reč je o najvecoj ikada fleet battle između dve najvece supersile u igri, alijansa Band Of Brothers i skup alijansi Northen Coalition, koji su vec u par navrata bili u ratovima. Prema izveštajima, dve masivne flote, od ukupno 1214 pilota je bilo prisutno u M-OEE8 sistemu. Dobar deo ove vesti je ta što igrači tvrde da nije bilo uopste laga prilikom susreta toliko brodova u jednom jedinom sistemu, i to zahvaljujući CCP kompaniji koja je nedavno pustila u opticaj lag-reducing StacklessIO sistem na serverima, sa ciljem da tačno pri ovako velikim okršajima ne bude nesnosnog laga koji se do sada redovno pojavljivao i kvario koncepciju igre i ratovanja. Naravno, taj sistem je daleko od perfekcije, tako da je u kasnijim segmentima laga ipak bilo, ali znatno manje nego do sada, tako da je to veliko poboljšanje i nada za buduće velike okršaje.

Do sada smo viđali isto velike bitke, velikih razmera, ali nikad sa ovoliko puno brodova, uglavnom su razmere tih ranijih bitaka bile oko 500 pilota u jednom sistemu, ali nikad preko 1000.

Ljudi koji ne igraju EVE jednostavno ne mogu da zamisle kako izgleda kad su tako velike i masivne bitke, ko u naučno fantastičnim filmovima iz Holivuda. To je najbolje uživo videti, ovako možemo preneti samo delić atmosfere.

EVE Online je pušten u prodaju u maju 2003. godine, a na IGN Vault-u su napisali jedan zanimljiv rivju u vezi sa igrom, i kakva je razlika između početka i sadašnjeg izgleda i dinamike igre.


The vastness of space can be hard to comprehend, though space is not empty. It is filled with precious resources used to make vital components for your survival in that cold hard vacuum. Exploration is key to finding riches, fame, and mortal danger, but you are not alone in your endeavors. Pirates roam to find the unwary captain to make a quick and easy buck. Players can fly solo and take on all the risk themselves or join powerful organizations called corporations. Corporations are EVE’s answers to guilds, but they don’t just have a chat channel and friends list. Corporations are the power houses in EVE, controlling whole regions of space and all the structures and resources found in it. To hold on to their gains, corporations are also the entities that go to war fighting with rival corporations who strive to wrest control of the region. This is the universe of EVE Online...

Još jedan zanimljiv blog o raznim "dobrim" ljudima u EVE Online-u, i njihovim zanimljivim danima u igri. Ovog puta se radi o jednom igraču i njegovim simpatičnim iskustvima sa klima uređajem na Caldari krstarici tipa Torax.

I was in complete and utter disbelief. How could this be happening to me? I had fit a brand new Thorax and flown it a few systems away and it was happening again. The air conditioning system was busted and I was sweating like hell.

*THUMP*

"STUPID GALLENTE MANUFACTURING" I screamed as I drop-kicked the AC unit. It must have realized how very furious I was because it stuttered and putted and started working once again. I went back to the cockpit and continued on my journey through low security, looking for targets with my wing man Andrea Skye who was piloting a Rupture cruiser. We traveled several jumps until we arrived at what is quickly becoming my favorite system within the war torn region of Black Rise. Teskanen is usually populated with several pilots from the Nexus Allliance and they seem to always be up for giving us the action that we crave...

Poznati sajt za online igre, MMORPG.com, je poslao svog reportera da napravi izveštaj u vezi sa poslednjom expanzijom za EVE Online, Empyrean Age. Reporter piše o dobrim i lošim stvarima u vezi sa factional warfare-om, odnoso rata između imperija, iz perspektive običnog igrača.

Tama is a 0.4 system in Caldari space and has become a love shack for the Caldari and Gallente militia, with pilots from both sides trying to shaft each other there on most nights. Tama sums up the current state of factional warfare, but I'll get to that in a minute. First, though, an introduction:

The Empyrean Age expansion brought with it a major new feature: Factional Warfare (FW). Relationships between the four main factions have broken down into a two sided conflict, with the Amarr and Caldari on one side and the Gallente and Minmatar on the other. The battlefields for this war are broken down into a handful of low security regions, where players must capture complexes in order to seize systems for their chosen faction, turning low sec into a massive arena for the militias to fight it out. Every system involved in the conflict has a control bunker at its center, which belongs to the faction that currently has occupancy. Complexes are randomly spawned in each system and it's up to the opposing militia to scan them down and hold them for a certain amount of time, while fighting off the defending NPCs and enemy militia...

Nova EVE Chronicle, ovog puta o Janus Bravouru, jednog od ključnih čoveka za napredak i prosperitet Caldari nacije.

My name is Janus Bravour. I am thirty-two years old. I am going to die.

The room in front of me is vast. It belonged to a high-powered Caldari executive who, like most of his ilk, was on the wrong side of the revolution. I would have preferred a smaller room. A room this size means you can't see everything around you, can't contain all the events occurring within its space. This is important. When you're a member of the Caldari State leadership, you need to contain all events within its space, lest they spiral out of control.

This room has spiraled out of control.

We gutted some of the more indulgent architecture - my leader and State ruler Tibus Heth took entirely too much delight in tearing out the cages that had held the strippers and soldering them into a box that now serves as the executive's new office - but the basics, the less-noticed ephemera that were truly Caldari, we kept. There is a sand waterfall, and laser birds that light through the air, and quiet sigils, cast on the floor, that morph from one meaning to another.

My name is Janus Bravour. I sit in a room with a waterfall running down one of its walls, the sand hissing as it trickles through the invisible gutters below...

So, it came as no surprise that the team behind this infamous title were also present at Leipzig. As part of our coverage, Strategy Informer was privileged enough to speak to Dr. Eyjolfur Gudmundsson, the Lead Economist, Research & Statistics and Arend Stührmann, the Associate Producer.

Izašla je nova EVE Chronicle, ovog puta u vezi sa ubistvima, kidnapovanjima, i teškim etičkim odlukama...

The landscape was beautiful and serene: The sun, recently set, cast the remnant of its reddish rays over clear blue skies; long fields of wheat billowed in gentle winds; farms with flowery gardens dotted the honey-golden vistas. It was nearly perfect, aside from the group of special ops quietly making their way through the land.

They moved in pairs, and the high stalks hid their passage. Arek and his partner Klar had the closest building and so moved slowest, insinuating themselves through the grass. Their clothing, light khakis and greens, was beset with ocular fibers that reflected their surroundings. It wouldn't fool heat scanners, but it didn't need to. Their intel, limited as it was, indicated that their prey had no high-tech apparatus in his home, not even proper weaponry. It was an idyllic existence insofar as such a thing existed for people like him...

U utorak, 2. septembar, biće postavljen dugo očekivani 1.1 patch za Empyrean Age expanziju koja je izasla pre dva meseca. Na hiljade novih ispravki i mnogo novina, ovaj patch obećava definitivno. Server će biti offline od 13h do 19h. Stavite dugačke skillove da se treniraju!

Nedavno smo pisali o tome kako izgleda priča jednog običnog pirata protiv više besnih koproracija koje ga jure i koje hoće da ih istrebe... Evo i drugog dela tog teksta, koji je još zanimljiviji od prvog!

I hope you're enjoying the story so far. We still have a bit to cover. There's still theever branching war decs from the BMC corp, through OCCS to their new alliance. Don'tforget about the corps that jumped from the alliance that we dec too.

Oh and I also will be putting in a story or two about my alts griefing their way throughEve. You can have so much fun with alts!

We will also deal with our fight against Eve University as well as our fun we had joiningPrivateers for a bit. I'll also touch on the completely lame tactic Eve Uni pulled toescape the shit they brought down upon themselves.

So get comfortable and here we go! I notice a lot of people are coming and goingthrough Seykachu's corp. They're only sticking around for a day or two at a time. So idecide to ask one of them what's the deal with everyone coming and going. One ofthem was complaining in local that they weren't happy joining a corp that staysdocked 24/7.

EVE Online Expansion

EVE Online je igra koja postoji već 4 godine, i za to vreme momci iz CCP-a sa Islanda, kompanije koja je napravila ovaj MMORPG naslov, su se svojski potrudili da nam za tih par godina donesu tonu poboljšanja i unapređenja, u smislu novih stvari vezano za samu osnovu igre, pa sve do brige o igračima. Uskoro dolazi nova velika ekspanzija, tačno sedma po redu, koja donosi pregršt novih stvari, i biće najveća do sada. Posle Castor-a / decembar 2003, Exodus-a / novembar 2004, Cold War-a / jul 2005, Red Moon Rising-a / decembar 2005, Revelations I / novembar 2006, Revelations II / jun 2007, konacno nam dolazi Revelations III koji se planira u decembru 2007. godine.
